With the launch of Armani’s A/W collection at the two haute couture shows at the Petit Palais yesterday, we got an insight into next seasons makeup trends.

Armani Code

Words change over time, while aesthetic, social and cultural references that reflect ways of life take on new meanings. Today, Giorgio Armani reworks the concept of the “folk” style that emerged between the end of the 1980s and the early 1990s to express a new freshness that, while inspired by a phenomenon of the past, illuminates this look in a modern way, as in a game of mirrors.

Linda Cantello, Giorgio Armani’s International Makeup Artist, interprets Armani Privé Fall Winter 2019 in make-up: “Reworking the strong Armani Beauty Code of the early 90s, we emphasized the top lashes for a simple graphic eye. A diva-like attitude to celebrate Armani.”

Prepare and massage skin with Crema Nera Supreme Reviving Cream Light, ensuring the cream is well absorbed. Then apply Armani Prima Skin Perfector Trouble Zones all over the forehead and on the T-zone to mattify the skin. Apply Powder Fabric foundation in the lightest shade that is still flattering. If the skin is dry, use Designer Lift foundation. Then using Neo Nude A-Contour in shade #20, contour under the cheekbones to sculpt and define the face.

Apply fake lashes in a straight, elongated way to extend past the outside eye corner making sure they are straight and not up or down. Then use Eyes to Kill mascara on real lashes in #1 (black) to fusion the two. Lastly apply Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #4 (black) on the upper lash line and on the outside eye corner in an arrow shape.

Apply Lip Maestro in shade #204, “Nuda”, from the Lip Freeze collection. Powder at the end with Luminous Silk Compact in a light shade.

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding fragrance, Lancôme has just launched a light and fresh fragrance:

Lancôme launches today its new feminine fragrance, Idôle, embodied by the new face of the brand, American actress, singer, and fashion authority Zendaya Coleman.

“I am thrilled to be the face of this new Lancôme fragrance. Idôle is a perfume that has meaning. I like the fact that it’s fresh and light. I am very particular about perfumes, and Idôle smells absolutely beautiful and I love it.” said, Zendaya Coleman.

A new musky chypre floral fragrance, created by three female perfumers: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec. A sustainably sourced Isparta Rose Petal Essence from Turkey exclusively made for Lancôme, along with a Centifolia Rose grown in France, shine among notes of bergamot, accords of pear, India Jasmine Grandiflorum, and a new “clean and glow” accord that is set to re-write the white page on which every woman starts her story. Verdant and tender, fresh and voluptuous, Idôle is a fragrance which speaks volumes, and sparkles in light.

Crystallizing a new out-of-the-box vision of success – one that unites and transcends rather than separates beyond convention – the Idôle bottle, designed by architect and industrial designer Chafik Gasmi, is the fitting tribute to the industry technical advances and innovations. The Idôle bottle being arguably one of the slimmest in the world at just 15mm thick.

Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme Global Brand President, said:

“We are excited to be able to create a fragrance for a new generation of women questioning the status quo, breaking free from tradition and re-defining the meaning of success. Collective and beneficial for all women, this new confidence is inciting them to raise the bar a little higher every time. Idôle is a strategic launch for Lancôme and we are delighted to present it with Zendaya to the world.”

Available in several refillable formats (25 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml), Idôle will be accompanied by a perfume fountain – “La Recharge” – at selected points of sale.
